Reset your Orange Money secret code

Did you forget your Orange Money Secret Code?

Don't panic, you can easily reset it.

To reset your Orange Money secret code, you need to register a recovery number.

- If you have already registered a recovery number, proceed directly to step B.

- If you have not yet registered a recovery number, start by following step A.

 

A - Registering the recovery number

You can use the Orange Money Africa application or dial the code #150*6# to register your recovery number.

 

- On the Orange Money Africa application

If you have not yet installed the Orange Money Africa application on your smartphone, download it from Google Play or from the App Store.

Google Play targets Android smartphone users and the App Store targets iPhone users.

1. Launch the Orange Money Africa application on your smartphone
2. Select the "Forgotten secret code" menu
3. Follow the on-screen instructions

 

- Using the code #150*6#

2. Follow the on-screen instructions

 

B- Resetting the secret code

You can use the Orange Money Africa application or type the code #150*6# to reset your secret code.

 

Ø How to reset your secret code on the Orange Money Africa application?

1. Launch the Orange Money Africa application on your smartphone
2. Select the "Forgotten secret code" menu
3. Select the "Reset" menu
4. Follow the on-screen instructions

 

Ø How to reset your secret code on #150*6#?

1. Choose the "Forgotten secret code" option
2. Follow the on-screen instructions

 

By using the Orange Money Africa application or by dialling the code #150*6#, your secret code will be sent via SMS to your recovery number.

Alternatively, you can have a password sent to your recovery number. Use this password to reset your Orange Money secret code.
