Orange Money, cheaper and open to all networks

Yes, you can open an account using a non-Orange number free of charge and in just a few seconds. Simply follow these steps: 

• Download the Max it app
• Open the app and enter your phone number 
• Click on 'Open an OM account'
• Enter the correct information and accept the Terms and Conditions of use 
• Enter a secret code
• Once you have confirmed your secret code, your OM account will be created.
   

No document is initially required to open an Orange Money account, regardless of the number used. However, to keep your account active or increase your transaction limits and amounts, you will need to provide a valid identification document, such as a NIC, passport or residence permit. 
 

Simply click on the 'Limit Increase' tab on Max It.

Your Orange Money account is completely independent from your Mobile Money account with another network. Both accounts can coexist and operate separately. You can carry out transactions on each account without any restrictions. For all transactions related to your Orange Money account, always use Max it.
 

Yes, you can open a free Orange Money account on each of your phone numbers, up to a limit of three accounts per valid ID document. 
 

To keep your account active, remember to carry out at least one OM transaction (cash out, merchant payment, bill payment, P2P, etc.) every 30 days via the Max it app or by dialling #150#.
