OM Boost (OM Loan line) is an Orange Money service that allows me to borrow from my OM account whenever I am in need. In short, with OM Boost, I borrow UVs to boost my financial capacity and/or finalise an ongoing OM transaction. 

This service is being launched in partnership with UBA Bank and EZRA. 

OM Boost is for all Orange Money customers, regardless of their network. 

To benefit from OM Boost, I need to :

  • Have a valid Orange Money account (with an up-to-date ID), regardless of my network
  • Be at least 21 years old when applying for the loan
  • Not be on the Orange Money Cameroun / UBA blacklist
  • Be a holder of a valid ID card for nationals, or a valid resident card for foreigners. 

The OM Boost service is available via :

  • The Max It app : Only during the official launch of the service 

The maximum amount I can borrow via OM Boost is determined by a credit scoring system that assesses my debt and repayment capacity. 
Minimum amount: 1,000 FCFA 
Maximum amount: 100,000 FCFA 

By using the OM Boost Loan service, I can :

  • Pay for my purchases in full, regardless of my Orange Money account balance
  • Compensate/complete a transaction if my Orange Money account balance is insufficient

  • Merchant payment
  • OM asso payment
  • ENEO bill payment 
  • CAMWATER bill payment
  • P2P money transfer

I am entitled to five (05) loans depending on my borrowing limit.

The duration of an OM Boost loan is 30 days from the date of borrowing.

Only one of my different OM accounts is authorised to use the service, that is, the one used to register the first loan.

  • You can view your mini statement
  • You can view your ongoing loans and repayment deadlines
  • You can repay one or more loans
     

Repayment is made :

  • Manually by myself from a dedicated repayment menu (partial or full payment)
  • By direct debit after expiry of the initial repayment date (In case of non-repayment by the number initiating the loan, recovery is made from all OM accounts bearing the same identity document).
     

If I don't repay my OM Boost loan within 30 days of taking out the loan, as from day 31:

  • Late payment charges (Penalties) apply to the initial amount borrowed from day 1 after the due date (D+31).
  • The amount borrowed (loan + interest rate + late payment penalties) will be automatically debited from my account.
  • My account will be blocked and I will no longer be able to make outgoing withdrawals/payments/transfers.
